Katie Griswold, Instructor

Katie is a Chicago-suburbs native with a passion for all things music and theatre! She holds a bachelor's degree from Augustana College in K-12 music education with a vocal focus, as well as a minor in theatre studies. Katie is a newer teacher at DJT, and she could not be more delighted to work with the amazing staff and students at this theater!

Katie has been performing since she was very small, and is very excited to teach other enthusiastic young performers! Some of her favorite memories of Davenport Junior Theatre include teaching the most energetic group of orphans in Annie Jr., meeting some of her best friends on staff, and learning all about Quad Cities history at the Local Legends summer camp.

When not teaching musical theatre and acting classes at DJT, Katie is a full time elementary music teacher in Moline. She is a frequent performer, and music director, and has been fortunate enough to serve as music director for Augustana College, DJT, and the Spotlight Theatre. When not doing any of those things, Katie can be found reading, doing puzzles, spending time with friends and family, finding new music to enjoy, and seeing as many performances as possible!
