Megan Rieck, Instructor

Megan grew up in Davenport and became a Davenport Junior Theatre student in 2nd grade after she performed in a Thanksgiving play at her grade school and knew then she had found her passion. She went on to grow up through the program- participating in many Mainstage shows, camps, classes, and was a member of the Junior Staff in high school. Megan’s favorite Junior Theatre memory is watching Leone Bredbeck perform as Showtime Pal for the final time at Junior Theatre’s 50th Reunion show. She also has fond memories of traveling on the Show Wagon and meeting some of her best friends to this day through the program.

After earning a degree in Early Childhood Education, Megan has spent over 12 years as a preschool teacher in the area and has also taught over a decade at Junior Theatre mainly teaching our youngest actors. One of her favorite things is watching her students find their confidence and voice on the stage. Megan has also served as the Secretary of Junior Theatre, Inc.

In her free time, Megan enjoys traveling, catching any live theatre she can, Sunday afternoon naps, and spending time with her 2 sons, Tanner & Kemper.
