This goes without saying, but Davenport Junior Theatre is made special by each and every kid that’s involved in the program.

We truly believe that every student makes an impact at DJT. This could be in the form of inspiring another student, a parent or teacher, or even finding a bravery within themselves they never knew existed!

From our youngest students to our oldest mentors, the bond of DJT brings everyone together in a safe space to learn, love, and enjoy theatre!

Our Staff

We really can’t thank them enough, but we hold so much appreciation for our theatre and dance instructors, Junior Staff, and our behind-the- scenes staff members who work to make sure DJT operates smoothly.

We have some of the most creative minds in the Quad Cities who are so passionate about sharing their love of the arts with others. And it shows!

Many of our staff members are even former Junior Theatre kids themselves, so they understand our program and students. Want to learn more about our staff? We have an entire series of blog posts about them!

Our History

We are so proud of our rich history here at DJT. Built as a Civil War camp in the 1890’s, DJT also served as an orphanage before we made it our home. We love being able to share this historic site with the Quad Cities community - and our students get a kick out of the bathtubs and kitchenettes in our studio spaces.

Our Programs

Whether you’ve taken a theatre or dance class, or a Performing Arts Camp with us, you know that the programs Davenport Junior Theatre offers are special. We love being able to share our passions, build confidence, and inspire the next generation of performers.

We believe its never too late to get involved in the arts, and offer beginner classes for anyone between the ages of 3-18.
