The Mainstage brings together students with local professional designers and directors to create high-quality productions at an affordable rate to all. Students are not only the actors onstage, but they are also the crew, front-of-house team, Showtime Pal, and more! The Mainstage Company is sponsored and supported by Junior Theatre Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit.

We produce three fully-realized productions in the Mary Fluhrer-Nighswander Theatre on the Annie Wittenmyer Complex annually! Mainstage plays are by audition only, and consist of students ages 10 and up from all over the Quad City area. Students must have completed a Davenport Junior Theatre class or camp before auditioning.

In addition, we hire local area theatre artists to design and direct for the Mainstage, providing an educational environment for students to learn about professional theatre!

We are so excited to lift the curtain on Season 75 with this fun, family fundraiser! Hotdogs, snow cones, bounce houses and, of course, performances on the stage! This fundraiser will help us kickoff the new season in the best way- fun on the lawn!
