Join us for a wild goose chase as we present HONK! JR.

This incredibly clever show will have you laughing out loud and shedding a tear at its touching message about acceptance and found family.

HONK! JR. follows “Ugly,” who hatches looking quite a bit different from his darling duckling brothers and sisters. The other animals on the farm are quick to notice, and despite his loving mother's protective flapping, Ugly’s odd, gawky looks instantly incite prejudice from his family and neighbors. When Ugly is separated from the farm and pursued by a hungry Cat, he must find his way home. Along his harrowing yet hilarious journey he not only discovers his true beauty and glorious destiny, but also finds love and acceptance in all its forms.

HONK! JR is a witty and heartwarming show celebrating what makes each of us special.

House opens 30 minutes before the show. No reservations required.

Show runs approximately 70 minutes and is appropriate and enjoyable for all ages!

The Mainstage brings together students with local professional designers and directors to create high-quality productions at an affordable rate to all. Students are not only the actors onstage, but they are also the crew, front-of-house team, Showtime Pal, and more!

Mainstage plays are by audition only, and consist of students ages 10 and up from all over the Quad City area. Students must have completed a Junior Theatre class or camp before auditioning.

We typically produce three fully-realized productions in the Mary Fluhrer-Nighswander Theatre on the Annie Wittenmyer Complex.
